Join the dynamic team at AbleTo, a proud member of Optum, as we seek compassionate Therapists to provide remote care in Hawaii. At Optum, we are reimagining the clinician experience, empowering healthcare professionals to thrive both in their careers and personal lives.
As a vital part of the Optum Behavioral Care Team, you will contribute to our mission to enhance healthcare accessibility for all. We are at the forefront of transforming behavioral health delivery, offering innovative solutions that address the needs of our most vulnerable populations. Our comprehensive approach integrates physical, mental, and social health, ensuring that our patients receive the support they need, wherever they are. Join us as we connect care and create a holistic health journey that makes a real difference in the lives of millions.
We are looking for a dedicated Therapist who shares our vision of improving behavioral health care. You are passionate about helping others and prefer to spend your time with patients rather than overwhelming paperwork. Our team-oriented environment offers robust support from clinical supervisors and fellow coaches. You will empower participants by focusing on practical skills and fostering healthy, lifelong habits through structured, evidence-based methodologies.
With the flexibility of working remotely from anywhere in the U.S., we require that you hold a valid license in Hawaii.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of at least 10 participants, delivering remote care within evidence-based treatment programs.
- Track participant progress, engage in follow-up communications, provide care coordination recommendations, and maintain precise session documentation.
- Collaborate with the care team to assist participants in accessing essential resources and securing necessary consent and authorization forms.
- Identify high-risk situations and respond appropriately while adhering to company protocols.
- Engage in regular meetings with supervisors, participate in monthly team discussions, and attend Town Halls.
- Uphold the highest confidentiality standards as per HIPAA regulations and fulfill annual training requirements.
Qualifications:
- An active, unrestricted clinical license in Hawaii, such as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
- Ability to commit to a consistent schedule of 10+ hours per week for patient care.
- Current eligibility to enroll as a provider in the Medicare program or the ability to finalize opt-out status, if necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest in pursuing licensure in additional states.
- Experience in delivering psychotherapy using approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and various solution-focused methods.
- A genuine passion for making a significant impact in the behavioral health field.
As part of our team, you will receive recognition and rewards for your outstanding performance in an environment designed to challenge you and provide clear pathways for personal and professional growth.
The hourly compensation for this role ranges from $28.61 to $56.06 based on full-time employment factors, including local labor markets and individual qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes incentive programs, stock purchase options, and a 401k plan — all determine eligibility criteria.
Application Deadline: This position will remain open for a minimum of two business days or until we identify a suitable candidate pool, with the possibility of an early closure based on applicant volume.
Diversity fosters a healthier workplace: OptumCare is committed to an inclusive environment, providing equal opportunities to all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, veteran status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, genetic information, or other protected characteristics.
