If you are a proactive professional with a background in business tax preparation and exceptional communication skills, we invite you to help clients navigate their taxes using Intuit’s TurboTax Business solutions.
Your key responsibilities will include managing intricate tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. We seek candidates who have a robust understanding of federal and state tax regulations relating to both business and personal returns, as well as extensive experience in preparing these returns.
What you will bring to the table:
A strong foundation in business tax preparation, showcased by at least 3 years of recent experience filing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for a minimum of 20 clients annually, using commercial tax preparation software.
Preferred experience includes at least 2 tax seasons of personal tax preparation, with a minimum of 30 returns processed each season in a practice or retail environment.
A commitment to contributing at least 20 hours per week (minimum 4-hour shifts) throughout the tax season.
Bookkeeping experience, particularly with transitioning from bookkeeping to tax preparation, is highly favored.
Experience in preparing Business Tax returns specifically tailored for clients in the service sector is strongly preferred.
Must have or be capable of acquiring all relevant state licenses, certifications, permits, or bonds.
An active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) is required.
A working knowledge of Circular 230 is necessary.
Technological proficiency with a solid grasp of computer operations and software.
Exceptional customer service abilities with a knack for professional and friendly interaction via video and audio platforms.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Critical thinker with excellent problem-solving and research skills, combined with determination.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight.
Must have (or be willing to establish) a dedicated hardwired internet connection that meets Intuit Security criteria as well as a quiet workspace.
Candidate must reside in the United States.
Your leadership will include:
This position is virtual and customer-focused; you will engage with clients using our advanced video communication software (Smartlook).
Assist TurboTax Business customers by providing:
o Tax advice
o Comprehensive Business return preparation and signing
o Product/software inquiries
o Tax calculations
o Filing tax extensions
Craft exceptional customer experiences that inspire confidence through empathy and your extensive tax preparation expertise.
Utilize government resources, professional tools, and team knowledge to deliver clear, actionable answers to client inquiries.
Employ established practices, procedures, and company guidelines to effectively address customer tax-related questions and concerns.
Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions.
Consistently strive to meet company performance metrics and objectives.
Participate in pilot programs, projects, and evaluation processes as needed.
Compensation in New York ranges from $25.40 to $34.40 per hour.
