    Your primary responsibilities will include managing intricate business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of federal and state tax laws concerning both business and personal tax filings, with substantial experience in preparing and submitting these returns.

    What you’ll bring

    • Proven experience in business tax preparation, with at least 3 years of recent involvement in preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for no fewer than 20 clients each tax season, utilizing commercial tax software.
    • A minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, ideally handling 30 or more tax returns per year in either a tax practice or retail setting.
    • Availability to commit to at least 20 hours per week, spread across three or more days.
    • Bookkeeping experience leading to tax preparation is strongly preferred.
    • Experience preparing business tax returns for clients in the service industry is an added advantage.
    • Possession of, or ability to obtain, necessary state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
    • Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) is required.
    • Working knowledge of Circular 230 is important.
    • Technologically savvy with proficiency in computer operations and software.
    • Exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to engage with customers professionally, confidently, and in a friendly manner through video and audio tools.
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, alongside a determination to deliver results.
    • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with little supervision.
    • Must have (or be willing to obtain) an internet connection that meets Intuit Security protocols.
    • Eligible candidates must reside within the United States.

    How you will lead

    • In this virtual, customer-facing position, you will utilize our cutting-edge video communication tool, Smartlook, to engage with customers effectively.
    • Assist TurboTax Business clients with their tax processes or those who’ve entrusted their tax returns to others by providing:
      • Expert tax advice
      • Comprehensive Business return preparation and signing
      • Product and software inquiries
      • Accurate tax calculations
      • Filing of tax extensions
    • Foster high-quality customer interactions that instill confidence by leveraging deep empathy and your extensive expertise in business tax preparation and bookkeeping to tax accounting.
    • Utilize government resources, professional references, and collaborative team efforts to find and communicate precise answers to customer inquiries using straightforward language.
    • Apply established practices, policies, and procedures to solve customer tax advice and return preparation challenges.
    • Document all customer interactions for reference and continuous improvement.
    • Continuously strive to meet the company’s key performance metrics and ambitious goals.
    • Engage in pilot programs, projects, and experience validation initiatives as needed.
