    WHAT TO EXPECT

    • As a Picker, you will play a critical role in supporting the Kitchen team by efficiently managing daily inventory picking from our external storage facilities.

    • Collaborate closely with the Kitchen team to deliver delicious meals and sandwiches to offsite catering locations, while meticulously completing production sheets and conducting temperature checks on catering coolers and fridges.

    • Perform daily temperature assessments of inventory storage facilities and promptly communicate any maintenance needs to the Supervisor or Chef.

    • Identify safety hazards in inventory storage facilities and report these concerns to the Supervisor or Chef to ensure a safe working environment.

    • Organize and streamline access to inventory items by condensing and organizing storage, and conducting inventory counts as directed by the Supervisor or Chef.

    • Stock shelves, coolers, and freezers in the Kitchen storage area with products received from outside storage.

    • Maintain the organization of on-site kitchen storage, including back dry storage, freezers, and coolers.

    • Work in tandem with the Kitchen team and Chef to guarantee accurate inventory reporting and administrative tasks.

    • Assist in physical inventory counts at external storage facilities when necessary.

    • Support the receiving of new products, handle delivery manifests, and aid in the layout and organization of storage facilities.

    • Collaborate with General Helpers to clean and sanitize designated areas of the kitchen.

    • Help ensure that all dishware, pots, tools, glassware, and kitchen equipment are sanitized and thoroughly cleaned.

    • Contribute to maintaining a clean and tidy dining room space, including sweeping and mopping floors.

    • Assist in keeping condiments, desserts, beverages, utensils, and other necessary items well stocked and accessible.

    • Participate in general food preparation activities within the kitchen.

    • Replenish desserts, beverages, and condiments on a daily basis as needed.

    • Support General Helpers in sanitizing and cleaning pots, dishes, glasses, and utensils after each meal service.

    • Keep all equipment surfaces in the dishwashing department clean and sanitized during or after meal service.

    • Efficiently transfer dishes and equipment between work and storage areas using trays or carts.

    • Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining high-quality standards in all tasks performed.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT

    • This role involves travel to various work sites.

    • The job may require working in confined spaces.

    • Be prepared for physically demanding tasks, including long hours at remote camps and exposure to extreme weather conditions.

    • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift or move items weighing up to 35 lbs.

    • The position involves frequent lifting, bending, kneeling, and squatting.

    • A valid driver’s license; skid steer training is a plus.

    Work Schedule and Compensation:

    The Picker/General Helper role operates on a 3 weeks on/3 weeks off rotation, with work sites located in remote areas requiring either air travel or ground transportation via our shuttle service. Flexibility in working nights, weekends, holidays, and weekdays is necessary. Compensation is hourly, starting at $19.70.
