About Virtual Pharmacist

We invite seasoned self-employed Clinical Pharmacist contractors to join our dynamic team and provide exceptional remote clinical services to our clients.

Location: Remote – Available to UK-based candidates only
Engagement Type: Self-Employed/Contractor Basis (Please note: This is not an employed position)
Contract Length: Flexible engagements available
Pay Rate: Up to £30 per hour (negotiable based on experience and service scope)
Minimum Commitment: 18 hours per week

Services You Will Provide(Your role encompasses, but is not limited to:)

• Perform Medication Reviews to enhance patient safety and treatment outcomes.
• Process Acute Medication Requests and exercise clinical judgement.
• Review Hospital Discharge Summaries to ensure accurate medication reconciliation.
• Assist GP Practices in Achieving QOF & IIF Targets as needed.
• Advise on Self-Limiting Conditions to minimize unnecessary GP appointments.
• Contribute to the Management of Long-Term Conditions within a multidisciplinary team framework.
• Facilitate Medicines Optimisation and conduct structured medication reviews.
• Provide NHS-Aligned Clinical Services in accordance with both national and local healthcare directives.

What We Are Looking For in a Contractor

• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) (Essential)
• Experience within GP Practice/Primary Care (Required)
• A Minimum of 2 Years Post-Registration Experience
• Independent Prescribing Qualification (Preferred, but not mandatory)
• Strong Clinical Acumen – Clinical Diploma preferred but not essential
• Ability to Work Independently and effectively manage your own caseload
• Proficiency with IT Systems – Familiarity with SystmOne, EMIS, or similar systems
• Professional Indemnity Insurance (Contractors must have their own coverage)
