    Job Description

At Ophelos, we champion a fresh perspective on managing debt—one that prioritizes empathy and understanding. We view our customers as individuals with unique circumstances, ensuring that their journeys are met with compassion, regardless of the challenges they face.

For too long, those in debt have had to navigate a landscape riddled with harsh practices, burdensome customer service processes, and a cookie-cutter approach that fails to recognize the myriad of reasons behind financial hardship. This broken model not only impacts individuals but also affects businesses, leading to poor customer experience, dissatisfaction, and lost opportunities.

This is where we step in with our innovative, industry-first AI-driven collections platform. Our mission is to create products that empower individuals to eliminate their debts in a manner that aligns with their personal circumstances while equipping businesses with enhanced customer insights and experiences.

Since our inception in 2021, we have collaborated with some of the UK’s most prominent companies, including Octopus Energy, Scottish Power, and Philips, assisting millions in their journey towards financial stability. Following our acquisition by Intrum in 2023, Europe’s largest credit management service, we are poised for an exciting phase of growth that includes expanding into 17 European markets over the next two years.

As we broaden our reach and enhance our AI capabilities, we are in search of a dedicated Customer Operations Coordinator. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth market rollout and operational excellence as we scale.

This unique position places you at the core of our growth strategy, allowing you to facilitate launches in new markets and optimize our operational tools and training programs. Your contributions will span across various teams and regions, ensuring our systems are robust and our personnel is fully prepared, delivering top-tier services.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

    • Configuring and enhancing operational tools (such as Talkdesk and Front) to support new market entries
    • Overseeing training, documentation, and localization efforts to guarantee team effectiveness
    • Serving as the liaison between project and operations teams, ensuring continuity and progress
    • Augmenting our AI-powered services by refining automation, documentation, and response accuracy
    • Driving continuous improvements, resolving issues, and ensuring high-quality service delivery at every stage

This position offers the flexibility of remote work or the choice to utilize our London office. We strive to accommodate flexible working hours, typically between 9 am and 5:30 pm on weekdays.

    About You

While we recognize that no candidate is perfect, the following attributes are essential for this role:

    • You possess exceptional organizational skills, technical prowess, and are adept at managing cross-functional projects.
    • Experience with SaaS tools such as Talkdesk, Front, or CRM systems is essential, especially if you’ve previously played a role in their implementation.
    • Your communication skills shine in collaborative environments, enabling you to work effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
    • You are proactive, take ownership, and thrive in situations of ambiguity.
    • A keen eye for detail drives your passion for enhancing systems and processes.
    • You resonate with Ophelos’ mission to facilitate debt relief for households and businesses.

We value our team holistically and have crafted a benefits package designed to enhance your work and personal life, including:

    • Comprehensive private healthcare through Vitality
    • £200 allowance for home office setup
    • Cashback on dental and optical services
    • 25 days of annual leave
    • Flexible public holidays—customize your time off
    • 30 days of work-from-abroad flexibility
    • Access to complimentary counseling sessions through our Employee Assistance Program
    • Flexible working arrangements—with the option to work from home or in our dog-friendly office
    • Cycle-to-work scheme
    • Company pension plan

At Ophelos, we prioritize providing equal opportunities for every candidate. If you require any adjustments during the application process, please let us know.
