Are you passionate about transforming data into actionable insights? Do you want to play a vital role in influencing a global construction leader’s commitment to minimizing their environmental impact?
We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Sustainability & Technical team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing low-carbon building materials through efficient data management, carbon tracking, and sustainability reporting. Here lies a chance for you to merge your data expertise with a meaningful mission that creates a significant difference.
In this position, you will engage in various tasks, from calculating lifecycle emissions and ensuring data reliability to generating reports that inform project tenders and support sustainability goals—your contributions will be crucial to our progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) to evaluate the environmental impacts of our products and help develop Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).
- Enhance the precision of our mortars and ready-mix carbon calculator in agreement with EPDs and third-party verification standards.
- Compile insightful carbon reports for projects, tenders, and active contracts, converting complex data into accessible and impactful formats for our stakeholders.
- Lead efforts in data cleansing, validation, and maintenance in FireQ and SAP systems to ensure a consistent and accurate flow of information throughout the organization, while managing duplicate resolutions and data migrations.
- Assess and enhance technical sustainability datasets within the Technical Division, focusing on data quality regarding binder types, recycled materials, and sustainability methodologies to pinpoint areas for enhancement.
- Track essential sustainability metrics for Construction Demolition Materials (CDM) and Mortars, providing data-informed insights and recommendations aimed at improving environmental performance.
Who You Are
- A proficient data analyst with a genuine interest in sustainability, carbon tracking, or environmental science.
- Previous experience with concrete products is a plus.
- Comfortable navigating large datasets, technical frameworks, and collaborating within cross-functional teams.
- Experienced in data validation, cleansing, and integration, particularly with systems like SAP or FireQ.
- Capable of presenting complex data clearly and engagingly through effective reporting.
- Organized, inquisitive, and solution-oriented, always thinking ahead.
- Familiarity with LCAs, EPDs, or sustainability-related data is advantageous but not required.
