Your Responsibilities:
- Architect Solutions: Conceptualize, develop, deploy, and maintain robust data infrastructure, pipelines, and architectures that align with our vision to become the world’s foremost research platform.
- Deliver Functional Code: Produce clean, efficient, and maintainable code that drives data pipelines, workflows, and operations in a live environment. Implement reliable, scalable, and well-tested solutions for automating data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration across various systems.
- Manage Data Operations: Oversee and enhance essential data infrastructure components within AWS, such as Amazon Redshift and Apache Airflow. You will be responsible for ensuring these systems’ performance, reliability, and scalability to handle increasing data pipeline and analytics demands.
- Enhance Your Skills: Immerse yourself in cutting-edge technology alongside experienced peers in a high-performance setting. You will also have access to our Learning & Development budget to accelerate your growth in specific technical skills.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Supervise the configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ongoing enhancement of our infrastructure to ensure the delivery of high-quality insights and analytics.
Your Profile:
- You possess a degree in a STEM field, but we are open to candidates with diverse pathways to their craft.
- With 3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, you have deep expertise in Python, SQL, and both SQL/NoSQL databases. You are adept at designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, data warehouses, and utilizing AWS data services.
- You exhibit strong knowledge in DataOps methodologies and tools, along with experience in CI/CD processes, containerization, and workflow orchestration via Apache Airflow. Familiarity with ETL frameworks is preferred, and bonus points for experience in Big Data processing (Spark, Hive, Trino) and data streaming.
- Proven Success: You have demonstrated significant contributions in previous roles, distinguishing yourself from your peers. We are looking for individuals with exceptional potential.
