Our dynamic Data Science team consists of seven talented members, including two Senior Data Scientists, four Data Scientists, and the Head of Data Science. We specialize in diverse domains such as Recommender Systems, Time Series Forecasting, Deep Learning, and Reinforcement Learning, all within a collaborative learning framework.

Our core mission revolves around modeling and problem-solving with a focus on applying cutting-edge machine learning techniques to address complex business challenges. We champion clean, well-documented code and foster a culture of knowledge sharing. Our technology stack is robust, utilizing GCP, Python, GitHub, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, and XGBoost.

With a mature infrastructure and dedicated teams in Data Engineering, Analytics, and Platform Engineering, our Data Scientists operate with exceptional autonomy. We engage with compelling datasets, design large-scale experiments, and drive growth strategies without bureaucratic hurdles. Through quarterly OKR planning, we ensure clarity of priorities and alignment with team objectives.

Your impact:

As a Senior Data Scientist reporting to the Head of Data Science, you will be a key player in advancing loveholidays’ mission. Your expertise will help shape our data-driven strategies, contributing significantly to our success.

Your daily responsibilities:

• Innovate and develop new models and techniques to tackle pivotal business challenges
• Oversee the production and maintenance of data systems
• Conduct code reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Provide mentorship and coaching to aid team members in their career growth
• Engage in project rotations to gain diverse perspectives and maintain engagement
• Propose new initiatives and contribute to the creation of team OKRs
• Participate in daily stand-ups and weekly prioritization discussions

Your ideal skillset:

We are searching for a motivated professional who approaches data scientifically, with the following attributes being critical:

Essential Experience:

• Leading end-to-end projects, from inception to delivery, including monitoring and alerting
• Designing experiments and modeling to generate actionable insights for business enhancement
• Proficient in machine learning and statistical methods for predictive modeling and forecasting
• Experience deploying ML models at scale in production
• Strong understanding of SQL
• Skilled in unit testing, CI/CD, model management, and experiment tracking

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Deep Learning, Generative AI, and Reinforcement Learning
• Familiarity with Time Series Forecasting and Recommender Systems
• Background in e-commerce, retail, or travel industries
• Conducted and analyzed large-scale A/B experiments
• Experience mentoring team members
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration technologies such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect
• Experience with technologies including:
  • Google Cloud Platform, especially Vertex AI
  • Docker and Kubernetes
