Key Responsibilities:

As a crucial member of our team, the Dental Claims Cash Poster will:

• Process payments efficiently from insurance companies, patients, and third-party payers.
• Ensure the accuracy of payment details, including the amount received, payment date, and methods used.
• Accurately input payment information into our practice management or billing software.
• Reconcile incoming payments with their respective dental insurance claims.
• Identify and resolve any discrepancies between anticipated and actual payments received.
• Maintain an organized and detailed record of all financial transactions linked to dental claims.
• Monitor and track payment trends, denial rates, and essential financial metrics.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as needed to support the department.

Essential Qualifications:

To thrive in this role, candidates must possess:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in collections and follow-up, with at least 3 years focused on cash posting.
• Over 2 years of experience handling dental claims.
• A High School Diploma or GED.
• A proactive, metrics-driven approach to collections for effective performance.
• Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Skills:

Candidates with an Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s Degree are highly desirable.
