As a Director of Actuarial Services within UHC M&R, you’ll spearhead actuarial initiatives that enhance bidding and forecasting for Part D products. Your expertise will involve conducting comprehensive data analysis, utilizing SAS, SQL, and Excel for modeling, and advancing actuarial analytics while refining processes and models. You’ll also lead special projects in collaboration with various teams throughout our extensive organization.

Main Responsibilities:
- Dive deep into Part D bid pricing
- Collaborate in crafting actuarial pricing and forecasting models and methodologies for Part D
- Oversee actuarial analysis and services to support pricing and forecasting assumptions
- Review outcomes from pricing and forecasting models, testing their sensitivity
- Engage in the Part D bid submission process
- Contribute to the forecasting process, analyzing drivers and variances
- Define and manage project deadlines effectively to meet team objectives
- Establish trusted relationships with leaders across the company
- Identify process inefficiencies and proactively implement innovative solutions

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) or FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries) designation
- 5+ years of actuarial practice
- Experience in Part D pricing or forecasting
- Proficient in handling models that utilize large datasets
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Basic or greater proficiency in SAS (Statistical Analysis System), SQL (Structured Query Language), or other programming languages
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in model building with SAS, SQL, or similar programming systems
- Advanced skills in SAS or SQL

Residents Only: The salary range for this position is $122,100 to $234,700 per year. Compensation varies based on factors such as local labor market conditions, education, experience, and certifications. UnitedHealth Group adheres to all minimum wage laws.
