In this Electrical Inspector role, you’ll be pivotal in conducting inspections at manufacturing facilities to verify that products are created according to Intertek’s established standards and specifications. This position is ideal for candidates who can adapt to client needs and commit their full attention to the role.

Location: Candidates should be based in the Rhode Island/Massachusetts area. This is a remote role, but applicants must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. Immigration sponsorship is not offered for this position.

**Compensation and Benefits**

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $30 to $42. Individual compensation packages are tailored to each candidate’s unique skills, experience, and qualifications. **Key Responsibilities**

• Plan and execute surveillance inspections based on scheduling needs.
• Document the manufacturer’s production and quality processes; evaluate necessary production tests, including methods and equipment calibration.
• Inspect ETL Listed products and components per Certification Documents; manage ETL label inventory and control; address non-compliances from previous inspections and document unresolved issues; select samples as directed.
• Record compliance and non-compliance findings during inspections, advising clients on appropriate resolutions.
• Complete and submit Follow-up Service Inspection Reports for each inspection performed.
• Facilitate communication between facility representatives and Intertek personnel.
• Adhere to expense management guidelines.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

**Qualifications**

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED with 10+ years of relevant experience; an associate degree with 5+ years of experience; or a bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of experience in a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in electronic/electrical testing or quality/reliability testing, engineering, inspection, manufacturing, or quality control.
• Internet access is required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Capability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% as business needs arise.
• A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are mandatory.
• This remote position requires U.S. residency and eligibility to work; immigration sponsorship is not available.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with the National Electric Code and safety standard compliance.
• Understanding of Quality Control methods, including ISO standards, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Statistical Process Control.
