    DESCRIPTION

    We are on the lookout for talented and results-oriented Energy Channel, Area Sales Managers (Contract) to play an essential role in our innovative pilot program aimed at enhancing awareness and driving sales of Google Nest thermostats and energy services in the utility sector. By promoting Google Nest products and energy solutions, you will not only contribute to a positive environmental impact but also foster the adoption of clean energy technologies among our customers.

    Your success will be evaluated based on the sales figures of Google Nest products and energy services, tracked through a robust pipeline of opportunities. As we achieve substantial results, we anticipate extending this program beyond its initial timeframe.

    Compensation: Salary plus Bonus

    Base Salary Range: $95,000 – $115,000

    Bonus Potential: up to 15%

    Contract Duration: Until the end of 2025, with potential for extension

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Partner with internal marketing teams and utility partners to devise and implement strategies that enhance the visibility of Google Nest thermostats, elevate customer education, and improve conversion rates in utility marketplaces. This includes advising on effective rebate strategies, promotional initiatives, and captivating content.

    • Boost awareness and sales of Google Nest thermostats and energy services within the energy channel, in collaboration with the Renew Home team.

    • Develop and nurture relationships across all levels of the energy landscape, aligning with decision-makers and key stakeholders.

    • Proactively seek out leads with utility companies and program implementers and cultivate a thriving opportunity pipeline in your designated geographical area.

    • Identify and leverage growth opportunities to enhance demand-side management programs.

    • Assess partnership performance to optimize growth and drive thought leadership to maximize revenue. Address partners’ strategic goals proactively and ensure full internal alignment and comprehension of their needs.

    • Maintain a prominent presence to effectively drive the sales process.

    • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, forecasts, and pipelines to ensure alignment with targets.

    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

    • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the energy sector, sales, program management, or business development.

    • Proven experience in the demand-side management industry, with an understanding of load management programs and distributed energy technologies, and the business needs of energy partners.

    • Adept at connecting market insights and channel experience to uncover large and innovative opportunities.

    • Proven track record of meeting sales quotas, managing relationships, and achieving strategic objectives.

    • Knowledge of e-commerce principles and online marketplace dynamics is advantageous; experience in influencing online sales strategies is preferable.

    • Strong commercial acumen, deal-making experience, or business management expertise, demonstrating independent leadership.

    • Exceptional interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with leaders, team members, and clients.

    • Sound judgment, effective problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.

    • Proven capability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced environment while upholding professionalism and integrity.

    • Familiarity with CRM platforms and the Google Suite of applications.

    • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
