Job Description

Noodle Talent Partners is excited to partner exclusively with a dynamic Manufacturing organization in their search for a skilled Technical Sales Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This remote position incorporates regular weekly travel across the UK for client engagements.

In this proactive role, you will be responsible for achieving key budgets and targets by driving sales from new customers (70%) as well as nurturing existing relationships (30%).

The Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture strong connections with clients through face-to-face meetings, effective problem-solving, and addressing any challenges while presenting tailored solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and optimize revenue prospects.
  • Ensure top-tier customer satisfaction and uphold high service standards consistently.
  • Actively seek and cultivate new clients through market research and strategic business development efforts, including cold calling, meetings (both in-person and virtual), and managing email correspondence, while identifying decision-makers and fostering new relationships with customized quotations based on client needs.
  • Follow up on leads to ensure conversion and monitor sales milestones.
  • Showcase technical expertise in WasteWater Treatment solutions through a consultative methodology, demonstrating a profound understanding of customer requirements while promoting solutions and clarifying features and benefits.
  • Maintain insight into your customer portfolio, tracking spending patterns and buying behavior to identify growth opportunities.
  • Utilize the CRM system to meticulously track all sales activities for accurate sales forecasting and management.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the product offerings, remaining informed through product descriptions, participation in industry events and seminars, and leveraging networking opportunities for continuous improvement and product enhancement.
  • Stay abreast of market dynamics, monitoring competitor activities and trends, and providing management with insights derived from customer competitor interactions.
  • Collaborate on effective marketing campaigns and technical support frameworks to drive success.

What We Are Seeking

  • A minimum of 5 years of Technical Sales experience, ideally within the Waste Water treatment sector or a related field (e.g., Utilities, Total Waste Management, Environmental Waste Management, etc.).
  • A proactive, results-driven approach, skilled at identifying sales opportunities among both new and existing clientele.
  • Proficiency in technical and consultative sales, with the ability to understand client needs and provide tailored technical quotations.
  • A valid clean UK driving license.
  • Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and experience with CRM systems like Navision or willingness to adapt to new software.
  • Excellent organizational and planning capabilities, adept at self-management and workload coordination.
  • High enthusiasm and self-motivation, with a focus on delivering outstanding results.
  • Exceptional relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Preferred qualifications in Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing, Biology, or Chemistry.
  • Strong numerical and literacy skills sufficient for calculations and drafting professional proposals and correspondence.
