Job Overview:
Position Summary
As a Financial Analyst, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, delivering insightful analysis and support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers, driving business value through financial acumen.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough analysis of unbilled items related to licenses and sales tax prepaid fees exceeding customer contract amounts.
Manage Accounts Payable tasks for licensing needs, such as processing lawyer fees for NYC, broker fees, and toll vendor refunds.
Oversee the reconciliation and interpretation of prepaid license fees including license, title, sales, and personal property tax. Ensure accurate setup and analysis of amortization schedules in collaboration with Financial Reporting and HQ Finance.
Provide comprehensive financial training to Business Unit staff, covering policies, procedures, and financial tools.
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations, delivering precise financial projections.
Act as a liaison between the Licensing Team and Ryder’s Shared Services Center, Corporate Accounting, and Tax Departments.
Make informed accounting decisions for projects and system enhancements while maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley controls and supporting quarterly audit processes in different areas.
Assist senior management with special projects related to vehicle accounting, rebates, and regulatory compliance, while leading process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and automation.
Facilitate month-end closing tasks, including journal entries for revenue/expense reclassification, variance explanation against forecasts, and thorough general ledger research to ensure billing opportunities are maximized.
Collaborate with the Director of Licensing Compliance and License team to identify chances for revenue and productivity enhancements across CSS & FMS operations in the US, Puerto Rico, and Canada.
Perform region and branch performance analysis, trending monitoring, and cost analysis to support financial reporting and continuous improvement efforts. Reconcile vehicle cap runs, sales tax accruals, and balance sheet accounts.

Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related discipline is required.
Four (4) years or more of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Operations is a must.

Compensation Details:
The compensation package offered will be influenced by various factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, educational background, work location, and internal equity considerations. This role may also qualify for an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentives based on performance. The salary range for this position is as follows:
