    About Us

    Join the Fleet Management Solutions Financial Data Analytics team, where your expertise in financial data analysis plays a crucial role in managing a fleet of 150,000 vehicles for Ryder. Your analytical skills will help identify optimal asset management strategies with the goal of maximizing profitability. You will collaborate with Operations leadership to implement effective solutions and measure the financial improvements that result from those efforts. In this dynamic and fast-moving environment, you will utilize advanced analytics to foster data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity by proactively seeking out new opportunities for improvement, diving deep to uncover the root causes of issues, and promoting a culture of continuous enhancement.

    • Collaborate with business partners to pinpoint cost-saving opportunities, model the potential impact on the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, evaluate risks, create progress reports, and present savings results to senior leadership.

    • Extract and analyze data using SQL to identify trends, assess changes in profitability, establish cause-and-effect relationships, and provide actionable insights to business partners for enhanced performance.

    • Develop automated reporting in Power BI to effectively communicate performance metrics and spotlight areas for operational improvement to management.

    • Treat data as a priority, ensuring its completeness and accuracy by working closely with Operations to understand data processes and with IT regarding data management and storage.

    • Execute other responsibilities as assigned.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    • Proficiency in key tools such as Excel, SQL, and Power BI is essential.

    • A foundational knowledge of SQL, R, Python, or other scripting languages is beneficial.

    • Expertise in financial modeling and an understanding of how business activities affect financial statements are essential.

    • A proven track record of delivering impactful business results through data-driven insights is required.

    • A passion for unearthing solutions within large datasets and collaborating with stakeholders to drive better business outcomes.

    • The ability to formulate and present recommendations to senior management based on thorough data analysis.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences.

    Educational Background

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Math, or a related field is required.

    • A Master’s degree is preferred.

    • Four (4) years or more of relevant experience is required.

    • Experience in Corporate Finance, Applied Statistical Analysis, or Transportation Industrial Engineering is preferred.

    Compensation Information

    The compensation offered for this role may vary and is influenced by factors such as candidate experience, education (including relevant degrees or certifications), work location, market data, and internal salary ranges. This position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, commission, or long-term incentive plan. Our compensation ranges for this role are:

    Pay Type:

    Salaried

    Minimum Pay Range:

    $80,000.00

    Maximum Pay Range:

    $100,000.00
