    Job Description

Join our dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional Primary Care with a focus on Internal Medicine, exclusively serving adult patients. We currently have a dedicated group of five internal medicine physicians and two nurse practitioners, and we are poised for further growth.

In this role, you’ll play an essential part in the comprehensive management of chronic conditions and acute health issues, emphasizing preventive care and utilizing evidence-based protocols. We are on the lookout for a board-certified Internal Medicine Physician to join us in a full-time capacity, supporting a collaborative team of seven providers and adapting as our practice expands.

The ideal candidate should possess a robust medical background, exceptional skills in interpreting lab, diagnostic, and radiology results, and the initiative to develop clinical workflows that enhance patient management. This position primarily involves indirect patient care with some direct interaction; you can choose to work remotely or from the office, enjoying the flexibility of hours as long as tasks are completed in a timely manner. While our office is closed on weekends, you may need to address urgent results occasionally.

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    • Analyzing and interpreting lab results, diagnostics, and radiology findings.
    • Documenting results and communicating them through our patient portal.
    • Conducting follow-ups with patients via phone as necessary.
    • Addressing patient queries related to lab results and clinical matters.
    • Managing medication refills effectively.
    • Developing and updating EMR order sets and templates to streamline workflow.
    • Creating and implementing standardized procedures for follow-ups on abnormal results.
    • Leading and supporting clinical operations and team coordination.
    • Staying abreast of EMR innovations and integrating new technologies, such as AI, into practice.

    Qualifications Needed:

    • MD with Board Certification in Internal Medicine.
    • Active medical license in Georgia (or the ability to obtain one).
    • A minimum of three years of experience in outpatient internal medicine is preferred.
    • In-depth clinical knowledge coupled with strong interpretation skills.
    • Proficiency with EMR systems and a readiness to adapt to technological changes.
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.

    Schedule & Operational Details:

    • Full-time role consists of a 4.5-day work week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
    • Enjoy flexible hours, provided all daily responsibilities are met.
    • Remote work or in-office options are available.
    • Office closure on weekends and major holidays, with minimal expectation to manage urgent follow-ups.
    • On-call duties are limited to phone communication only.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    • Attractive base salary with the potential for a productivity bonus.
    • Signing bonus and assistance with relocation.
    • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
    • Life and disability insurance coverage.
    • Malpractice insurance including tail coverage.
    • 401K plan with employer matching.
    • Generous paid time off and recognition of holidays.
    • CME allowance along with support for ongoing licensure and certification.
