    • Salary: Between £37,500 and £46,215, depending on location
    • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
    • Location: Flexible homeworking with a base in Leeds

    Your Responsibilities

    In your role as a Functional Assessor, your primary focus will be to evaluate how disabilities or medical conditions influence individuals in their work lives. Leveraging your clinical skills, you’ll conduct thorough assessments, capturing detailed medical histories and physical examinations. Your concise and precise reports will guide the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in determining eligibility for benefits.

    You will engage with clients both face-to-face and through virtual means, ensuring a compassionate and sensitive approach while maintaining the highest standards of practice. Whether meeting in person or online, you’ll have the time needed to make thorough assessments, focusing entirely on each individual. While you will work independently, you will also be part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team, reinforcing the collaborative approach to care and assessment.

    Who We’re Looking For

    • Registered Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, or Paramedic with at least 12 months of recent, relevant post-registration experience.
    • Experience in functional assessments and clinical decision-making is a plus.
    • Active engagement in Continuous Professional Development, with evidence on your CV.
    • HCPC registration is essential.
    • A solid comprehension of clinical governance and commitment to meeting customer service standards and targets.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, adept at negotiation and adapting to change.
    • Proficiency in IT and experience with various software applications.
    • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to professional growth.
    • Integrity and respect for client confidentiality are crucial.
    • A desire to provide outstanding customer service with empathy and sensitivity during assessments.
    • A proactive approach, with the ability to meet deadlines while working independently.
    • A team player willing to contribute to a multi-disciplinary team environment.
    • Eligible to work in the UK without requiring visa sponsorship.
