We are actively seeking talented freelance interpreters specializing in Bissa, Busani, and Busa to join our team under a self-employed contract. Your expertise will help us fulfill the diverse needs of our clients.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Providing professional language interpreting services across various sectors
• Adhering to a strict Code of Conduct
• Delivering accurate, confidential, and unbiased interpreting services
• Maintaining high quality through established interpreting guidelines
• Ensuring exceptional customer service
• Demonstrating outstanding communication, language, and organizational skills
• Exhibiting punctuality, reliability, confidence, enthusiasm, and professionalism
• Upholding impartiality and courtesy towards clients and service users
• Possessing a deep cultural understanding of both languages
• Maintaining a professional demeanor throughout your assignments

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years of interpreting experience
• Community Interpreting Level 3 Certificate
• Diploma in Police Interpreting (DPI) / Metropolitan Police Test
• Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
• Relevant qualifications in interpreting/translation
• A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Languages, Translation, Interpretation, Philology, Linguistics, or similar fields
• A Ph.D. or Doctorate in Linguistics or related fields
• Certificate of Higher Education in Translation, Interpretation, or Linguistics
• Membership in the National Register of Public Service Interpreters (NRPSI)
• Qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL)
• Membership with the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) or other professional bodies
• Demonstrated proficiency in English (where applicable)

Additionally, candidates must provide:

• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
• A valid DBS certificate (or a willingness to obtain one)
• Two professional references
