The Role
As a Laravel Developer, you will be instrumental in crafting exceptional experiences for our Diagnostic product and the clients who rely on it. Your contribution to our development team will involve enhancing our processes and participating in rigorous code reviews. This role demands close collaboration with the Delivery team.
Responsibilities
- Engage in all facets of software development, which includes:
- Designing, developing, testing, and deploying web applications.
- Coordinating efforts with fellow developers and project managers.
- Interacting directly with customers as needed.
- Diagnosing bugs, troubleshooting issues, and proactively identifying potential weaknesses.
- Participating in peer code reviews to enhance quality.
- Estimating task durations and providing reliable timelines.
- Translating complex requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Being a key contributor to various projects, including client integrations and new feature implementations, while taking ownership of your work.
- Supporting fellow developers in the team.
- Adhering to best coding practices, documentation standards, and ensuring robust unit and integration testing throughout all developed software.
Skills
- Solid knowledge of PHP unit testing frameworks, such as PHPUnit or Pest.
- Experience with frontend frameworks like VueJS or React.
- Proficient in using version control systems like Git.
- Able to navigate and understand intricate existing codebases.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems and debug effectively.
- A self-starter who takes responsibility for their work while welcoming feedback from colleagues and managers.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with command line operations and tools.
Experience and Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with Laravel, including at least 2 years at a senior level.
- Experience with PHPStan.
- Proficient with Ansible.
- Familiarity with Docker and/or Vagrant.
- Working experience with macOS or Linux operating systems.
