About the Position:
Join our dynamic team as a Program Director focused on Mail Services at CBRE! In this crucial role, you’ll lead teams dedicated to executing a diverse array of projects and programs. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Mail and Document Services, along with Shipping and Receiving, your extensive industry knowledge will play a vital role in crafting and implementing strategic operational programs that enhance customer satisfaction and service delivery. Your analytical skills will empower you to evaluate, create, and deliver operational plans that elevate our offerings to best-in-class status.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess project scopes to determine workforce requirements for seamless daily operations.
- Develop compelling presentations for clients showcasing methodologies and industry insights that support staffing and operational models.
- Collaborate across functions to devise cost-effective staffing and resource strategies.
- Provide expert guidance on compliance and regulatory issues related to mail and shipping, ensuring adherence to postal regulations and safety standards.
- Perform audits of existing processes to identify and implement improvements.
- Advise account teams on mail and shipping operational best practices.
- Support teams in troubleshooting operational challenges and implementing effective solutions.
- Supervise and mentor employees, overseeing staff development and performance evaluations.
- Manage recruitment and onboarding during transition phases, ensuring alignment with operational objectives.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of financial budgets, tracking expenditures, and documenting variances.
- Act as the primary contact for clients, addressing concerns around staffing and service delivery.
- Assist in resource allocation for projects while conducting regular project status meetings.
- Facilitate staff training and process development to meet client demands.
- Regularly update senior management on project and program statuses.
- Exercise attention to detail while managing operations remotely.
- Lead cross-functional projects from inception to completion, developing charters and timelines to ensure timely delivery.
- Foster relationships with internal and external partners to meet critical deliverables.
- Utilize a comprehensive understanding of various business disciplines to improve cross-functional performance.
- Exemplify CBRE’s RISE values and influence team practices in accordance with organizational goals.
- Identify and resolve complex operational and organizational challenges using appropriate resources.
- Innovate and refine processes within your domain to drive significant improvements.
- Demonstrate inquisitiveness and a proactive approach in seeking solutions to operational issues.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including some weekends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, alongside at least 4 years of relevant experience. Equivalent experience may substitute for formal education, with a total of 6+ years in education and/or experience.
- Minimum of 4 years in Mail, Shipping, Logistics, and Warehouse management.
- At least 4 years of experience with HazMat, IATA, and DOT regulations (49 CFR); certification is preferred but must be obtained within 120 days of employment.
- Familiarity with material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) and understanding of their operational and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in staffing, training, coaching, and performance management is desirable.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts simply and effectively at all organizational levels.
- Strong documentation and process communication skills.
- Leadership aptitude to establish, manage, and achieve performance targets affecting multiple departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Exceptional organizational capabilities and a curious, analytical mindset.
- Must have authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship for the present or future.
