We are looking for a meticulous, skilled Microsoft Dynamics NAV BC Developer to join the Ingenica team and work closely with our Technical Development Manager and fellow developers.
This role will report to the Development Manager and the Technical Product Lead, with responsibilities including the technical design, development, and deployment of Ingenica’s solutions based primarily on the Microsoft Dynamics NAV/BC platform. You will also engage in upgrading solutions from Dynamics NAV to the latest Business Central versions.
What Your Daily Activities Will Involve:
Your contributions will be essential in supporting and enhancing our C/AL application – resolving development-related support tickets and collaborating with stakeholders to clarify requirements for seamless transitions. Your thorough comprehension of our systems and architecture will be instrumental in formulating effective solutions for new healthcare initiatives.
You’ll actively participate throughout the entire development lifecycle: crafting clean and efficient code, generating robust technical documentation, estimating efforts for project timelines, and ensuring quality through peer reviews. Whether working independently or with third-party collaborators, you will adhere to both Microsoft and Ingenica coding standards.
Additionally, you will assist in the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Business Central systems and oversee the complete preparation and release of software updates.
Your Skills & Experience:
NAV/BC Development & Upgrades:
• Extensive experience in coding with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (NAV 2016+), including custom solution upgrades and migration from C/AL to AL.
• Strong proficiency in C/SIDE, C/AL, and AL programming languages.
• Ability to create custom functionalities using AL extensions.
Technical & Functional Proficiencies:
• Adept at translating business requirements into clear technical specifications.
• Excellent documentation skills for technical requirements and customized development specifications.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, XML, APIs, and object-oriented programming languages (e.g., C#, Java).
Tools & Standards:
• Experienced in using DevOps, GitHub, and automated testing technologies.
• Knowledgeable about ISO9001 and ISO27001 standards and integrated management systems.
Consultancy & Mentoring Skills:
• Experience in consulting on Microsoft Dynamics NAV/BC implementations.
• Familiarity with third-party NAV/BC tools such as Tasklet Mobile WMS, Continia, and Zetadocs.
• Strong collaborator who thrives in team settings.
Professional Attributes:
• Commercially astute with a deep understanding of business needs.
• Holds a degree in Computer Science or possesses equivalent professional experience.
