The Role

As a Quality Engineer focused on Mobile, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of our flutter-based mobile applications. Your responsibilities will span the entire development lifecycle—from identifying testing scenarios and automating regression tests to generating test execution reports and participating in release readiness discussions.

Your expertise in hands-on testing and automation with Maestro will be invaluable, and you’ll help refine our mobile test platform strategy while generating test data through scripting. Additionally, you will validate APIs with tools like Postman and mentor team members to elevate our overall quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Identify and execute acceptance and regression test cases based on product specifications.
• Design and uphold automated test suites for mobile applications with Maestro.
• Develop and enhance mobile test automation platforms for both local and cloud execution.
• Create and manage test data using seed scripts.
• Conduct and validate backend API requests via Postman, ensuring adherence to methods, payloads, and status codes.
• Report on manual and automated test results throughout release cycles.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to guarantee high-quality, testable requirements.
• Track bugs and manage testing environments for effective debugging and triage.
• Engage with mobile and backend engineers, reviewing test cases and automation contributions.
• Take ownership of quality sign-off and release readiness, escalating risks as necessary.

Skills

• Expertise in mobile test automation and regression test planning (experience with Maestro is a plus).
• Capable of designing scalable test infrastructures and integrating them into CI/CD workflows.
• Proficient in generating clear, reusable, and comprehensive test cases.
• Ability to analyze test outcomes and produce quality reports.
• Skilled in executing API validations and creating test data.
• Adept at mentoring and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Experience and Qualifications

• Proven experience testing mobile applications on both Android and iOS platforms.
• Experience in validating REST APIs and a solid understanding of HTTP data flows (Requests, Responses).
• Fluency in scripting languages (TypeScript preferred) for test data creation.
• Experience managing test environments, troubleshooting issues, and integrating tests into CI pipelines.
• Track record of owning release sign-off decisions based on thorough test results and coverage.
