    Your Responsibilities

    In the capacity of a Functional Assessor, you will be tasked with evaluating individuals and understanding how their disabilities or health conditions impact their professional lives. Leveraging your clinical background, you will engage with clients to collect their medical histories, followed by conducting thorough physical examinations. You’ll be responsible for crafting clear and precise reports that will aid the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in determining each individual’s eligibility for benefits.

    This role encompasses interactions with clients in person as well as through telephone and video conferencing. No matter the medium, you’ll bring a compassionate approach, asking insightful questions while adhering to the highest standards of best practices.

    You can be assured of having the necessary time to conduct accurate assessments, giving each person your dedicated attention. Although you will operate independently, you will be part of a broad multi-disciplinary team, ensuring that support is always within reach.

    Who We’re Looking For

    • Registered General, Mental Health, or Learning Disability Nurse with a minimum of 12 months of recent comprehensive post-registration experience
    • Experience in functional assessment and clinical decision-making is a plus
    • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in your CV
    • Active registration with the NMC
    • Strong understanding of clinical governance and a commitment to achieving customer service levels and targets
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of managing a dynamic environment
    • Proficient IT skills and familiarity with various software applications
    • Self-aware, with a focus on ongoing professional growth
    • Integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality in client interactions
    • Passionate about delivering quality customer service with empathy, respect, and sensitivity
    • Able to demonstrate initiative in meeting deadlines and standards
    • Team-oriented, reliable, and eager to contribute to a multi-disciplinary team environment
    • Legally eligible to work in the UK without requiring visa sponsorship (sponsorship not available)
