• Assessing the draft determination of medical necessity crafted by the Initial Reviewer, using your clinical expertise to affirm its suitability for the patient or suggest necessary changes.
• Engaging in peer-to-phone consultations with the requesting provider as needed—typically to share additional patient information not included in earlier documentation or to clarify processes.
