Join Intertek, a nationally recognized leader in Testing, Inspection, and Certification (ATIC) services, as we seek a dedicated Electrical Product Inspector for a Remote Part-Time position. Operating within the vibrant Eastern Pennsylvania and Northern Virginia regions, this role offers an exciting opportunity to dive into the world of electrical product certification and contribute to global trade and compliance efforts.

As a key player on our Electrical team, you will be involved in the assurance, testing, inspection, and certification of a wide array of electric products, ranging from household appliances and consumer electronics to medical devices and industrial systems. Key Responsibilities:

• Execute surveillance inspections at manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with Intertek’s established standards and specifications.
• Document and evaluate the manufacturer’s production and quality processes, reviewing essential production tests and calibration methods.
• Inspect ETL Listed products, components, and subassemblies according to Certification Documents while managing inventory and addressing previous inspection non-compliances.
• Clearly document findings of compliance and non-compliance during inspections, advising clients on necessary corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit Follow-up Service Inspection Reports for each client visit.
• Foster effective communication between manufacturing representatives and Intertek personnel.
• Manage expenses within specified guidelines.
• Engage in additional tasks as assigned to support team objectives.

Qualifications Needed:

• High School Diploma or GED, paired with 10+ years of relevant experience; an associate degree and 5+ years of experience; or a bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of pertinent experience.
• Proven background in electronic/electrical testing, quality assurance, engineering, inspection, or manufacturing quality control is essential.
• Must have reliable internet access and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Capability to stand for extended periods and navigate stairs and ladders is required.
• Willingness to travel as needed, potentially up to 75% of the time.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
• Applicants must reside in the US and be authorized to work legally.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of the National Electric Code and national safety standards for product compliance is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Quality Control methodologies, such as ISO 9000/14000, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing, is a plus.

Salary & Benefits:

Compensation for this role ranges from $36 to $42 per hour, with the final package reflecting individual skills and experience.
