We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a seasoned Psychiatrist to take on the role of Medical Director for the adult psychiatric unit at a reputable medical center located in Nevada, MO. This position is designed for professionals seeking a very part-time commitment, involving approximately 1 hour of telehealth duties per week, primarily focusing on providing clinical oversight and collaborative supervision for our psychiatric nurse practitioner (NP) on staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver clinical supervision and oversight to the onsite psychiatric NP, ensuring compliance with Missouri’s regulatory standards.
• Engage in collaboration with the multidisciplinary care team to guarantee the delivery of safe, effective, and compliant psychiatric care.
• Act as a valuable clinical resource, offering insights for complex case discussions and treatment planning.
• Review, approve, and supervise collaborative practice agreements as necessary, following the established scope of practice.
• Uphold adherence to best practices and established standards in adult psychiatric treatment.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services within our medical center, catering exclusively to adult patients.
• Commit to approximately 1 hour of remote work weekly from your location in Nevada, Missouri.

Qualifications:

• Must possess an MD or DO with Board Certification in Psychiatry.
• Hold an active, unrestricted medical license to practice in Missouri.
• Previous experience in supervising or collaborating with advanced practice providers is preferred.
• Demonstrated strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and leadership skills are essential.
