As the Medical Director for the adult psychiatric unit, you will play a crucial role in ensuring quality psychiatric care, focusing approximately one hour per week on telehealth services. Your primary responsibility will be to provide clinical oversight and collaborative supervision for the psychiatric nurse practitioner (NP) on our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver clinical oversight and supervision to the onsite psychiatric NP, adhering to Missouri’s regulatory standards.
• Collaborate closely with the care team to guarantee safe, effective, and compliant psychiatric services for our patients.
• Act as a clinical resource, facilitating complex case discussions and aiding in treatment planning.
• Review and endorse collaborative practice agreements and supervise as necessary, in line with the provider’s scope of practice.
• Maintain adherence to best practices and high standards of care in adult psychiatric treatment.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services within the medical center, catering to all adult patients.
• Commitment of approximately one hour per week for remote consultations in Nevada, Missouri.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO with Board Certification in Psychiatry.
• An active, unrestricted medical license in Missouri.
• Previous experience in supervising or collaborating with advanced practice providers is preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment complemented by exceptional communication and leadership skills.
