    Job Description

At Lyra, we are on a mission to revolutionize mental health care by integrating advanced technology with compassionate support, empowering individuals to achieve emotional well-being in both their professional and personal lives. Collaborating with prestigious organizations like Morgan Stanley, Uber, Amgen, and numerous Fortune 500 companies, we facilitate access to top-quality mental health services for employees and their families. Our cutting-edge digital care platform and extensive provider network currently benefit nearly 20 million people, helping them recover and thrive efficiently. Founded by David Ebersman, a former CFO of Facebook and Genentech, we proudly boast over $900 million raised to further our goal of expanding access to high-caliber mental health care.

As we focus on broadening access to mental health services, we are excited to welcome licensed clinicians, counselors, psychologists, therapists, and mental health providers based in California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. We also encourage applications from candidates in other states and offer cross-licensure sponsorship in select areas to help our clinicians achieve their professional goals.

In this dynamic role, you will be part of our innovative Lyra Care Therapy program, which seamlessly combines live video therapy sessions with digital psychoeducation and tailored skill-building resources. This approach ensures you can provide unparalleled mental health support for your clients, all from the comfort of your own preferred setting.

Your daily responsibilities will include delivering short-term, evidence-based therapy via live video, while managing a diverse caseload with varying clinical needs. You will enhance your clients’ experience by assigning digital lessons, videos, and assessments to track improvements and bolster learning between sessions. We pride ourselves on delivering culturally responsive care, acknowledging the unique experiences and needs of our clients from diverse backgrounds.

Regular interactions with your fellow therapists will enrich your practice, as you connect with peers dedicated to evidence-based care. You will benefit from bimonthly one-on-one meetings and comprehensive training designed to advance your clinical skills. Additionally, our on-demand expert clinical consultation and support will provide you with abundant resources to address your most complex cases. Whether you require specialized insights or culturally responsive care strategies, you’ll have a powerful support network while working remotely across the United States.

This opportunity is ideally suited for licensed clinicians seeking part-time flexibility, possessing strong interpersonal abilities, and committed to ongoing professional development in a feedback-rich environment. Candidates with experience managing a broad range of mental health issues—from mild challenges to more severe cases—are especially encouraged to apply. If you thrive in a fast-paced, evolving landscape and are enthusiastic about contributing to a rapidly growing organization, we’d love to hear from you!

    Requirements:

    • Master’s degree in a clinical field (e.g., MSW, MFT, MC, MMHC)
    • Unrestricted license (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PsyD, PhD, or equivalent) allowing for independent practice without disciplinary actions
    • Proven experience and dedication to delivering evidence-based treatments (e.g., ACT, CBT, CPT, DBT) and clinical best practices (e.g., measurement-based care, skills promotion)
    • Competency in managing clinical risks and navigating crises
    • Background in providing video therapy
    • Experience handling a part-time clinical caseload of adult and/or adolescent clients (up to 19 bookable spots weekly)
    • Ability to create a flexible part-time schedule within a 24-hour week
    • Efficient scheduling and time management skills
    • Must be a full-time U.S. resident
