Join our dynamic team as a part-time Patient Service Representative, where you can make a meaningful impact in the healthcare sector—all from the comfort of your home! We are searching for enthusiastic call center professionals to operate from our Post Office Square location in Boston, MA. Ideal candidates will reside in Massachusetts, possess experience with the EPIC registration system (please specify on your resume), and have a dependable, high-speed internet connection suitable for remote work. After an initial training period of 2 to 6 weeks, tailored to your previous experience, this role transitions to a fully remote position.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing incoming calls and inquiries, assisting patients with their appointments and care management, and supporting our interdisciplinary team. Your contributions will be pivotal in enhancing the patient experience and fostering strong connections between our patients and clinicians. Exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities are essential, ensuring that our patients receive the support they deserve. Strong verbal and written communication skills will be key in facilitating better access and understanding of our services.
Requirements:
Educational Background: A high school diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, TASC Test) from an accredited institution is required. A bachelor’s degree or other non-clinical degree aligned with an interest in healthcare is a plus.
Experience:
- A minimum of one year in a clinical or customer service role is preferred.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheet software, is required.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) is a must, as is the capacity to quickly learn EMR systems based on your technical experience.
- Previous experience in a high-volume call center environment is an advantage.
Skills:
- Professional and effective communication abilities are essential.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, time management, and organizational skills are required.
- Knowledge of patient-related documentation is preferred.
