Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled IT Change and Release Manager to enhance our team within the Pharma/Healthcare sector. In this role, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of IT change and release management. The ideal candidate will possess strategic insight into ITIL processes, risk mitigation, and security governance. A high level of technical proficiency, strong communication abilities, and a collaborative spirit are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise every aspect of the IT change and release management lifecycle, ensuring alignment with ITIL best practices.
- Act as the main contact for the Change Advisory Board (CAB), coordinating meetings and steering decision-making processes.
- Employ tools such as Jira and BMC Remedy for effective change and release tracking while maintaining the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
- Establish and administer security governance processes to confirm compliance with regulations like SOX and HIPAA.
- Work together with cross-functional teams to oversee supply chain IT, ensuring optimal operational efficiencies.
- Formulate and enforce risk mitigation strategies to reduce the effects of changes and releases on the organization’s IT infrastructure.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance change and release management processes while identifying and implementing improvement opportunities.
- Generate regular reports for senior management on the progress of changes and releases, emphasizing potential issues or risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT change and release management, preferably within the Pharma/Healthcare field.
- ITIL Certification is essential.
- Demonstrated experience with tools such as Jira and BMC Remedy.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ITIL processes, particularly change and release management.
- In-depth understanding of security governance and compliance regulations, including SOX and HIPAA.
- Experience in managing IT supply chains.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departmental levels.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities for problem resolution.
- Proven capability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
