Position Summary
As a renowned manufacturer of dynamic storage, retrieval, and distribution systems, Kardex is seeking a Project Manager to join our UK realization team within the New Business division.
In this integral position, you will take ownership of New Business projects from order confirmation through to final acceptance by the client, ensuring that all project milestones are met. You will collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders, playing a vital role in coordinating suppliers, managing costs effectively, and prioritizing health and safety throughout project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent Kardex professionally in all client interactions related to pre and post-sales/project support, ensuring improvement in project delivery costs without compromising service quality.
- Lead customer presentations, site meetings, and various project-related activities, both collaboratively and independently.
- Maintain adherence to Kardex processes and budget indicators while ensuring high-quality project delivery. Specific goals will include:
- Enhancing technical and project knowledge within the New Business team.
- Implementing robust cost management practices.
- Effectively managing both hardware and software components of projects.
- Addressing any delays in the realization process promptly.
- Providing guidance and support to colleagues to ensure projects are executed safely and efficiently.
Additional Duties Include:
- Offering accurate installation estimates and advice for Sales and Solution Design as needed.
- Creating comprehensive project plans to facilitate coordination among clients, team members, and project teams, adjusting as necessary to changing requirements.
- Conducting detailed site surveys and on-site support during the pre-sales phase as required.
- Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to assure the quality and continuity of supplies.
- Communicating day-to-day operational details to the Head of Realization.
- Executing quality checks during and post-installation.
- Upholding timelines and target dates rigorously.
- Preparing and presenting project-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements to stakeholders.
- Overseeing the timely installation of Kardex Software in collaboration with the Software Manager or Consultant.
- Preparing critical documentation such as the Work Package Plan (WPP) for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Conducting operator training (excluding PPG/Software).
Qualifications

- Exceptional social competency.
- Professional management of all projects and client relationships.
- Analytical and systematic project management approach.
- Problem-solving capabilities – identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
Candidate Profile:
- Education: College degree preferred, but relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
- Experience: Ideally, a minimum of 3 years in the intralogistics industry.
- Technical proficiency in areas pertinent to the Project Manager role.
- Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Cultural awareness and cross-cultural competence.
