MMP Consultancy is excited to present a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Property Surveyor to join a dynamic housing association. This role offers the flexibility of FULLY REMOTE work while covering the Norfolk area, with a fixed-term contract of 6 months.
In this position, you will receive an attractive annual salary of £47,800 along with a comprehensive benefits package, including a car allowance.
Role Overview:
As a Property Surveyor, you will take the lead in managing and delivering property investment, repair services, and inspections across a portfolio of approximately 20 to 40 locations. Collaborating closely with housing and care operations, you will ensure that all properties are maintained in optimal condition and comply with property strategy targets. Your role will involve upholding commercial and contract management standards, guaranteeing that all contractual obligations are fulfilled. You will also oversee project performance while coordinating with the quantity surveying team to ensure accurate financial forecasting, contract instructions, and valuations, with a focus on identifying cost-saving opportunities through collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of property maintenance to ensure quality homes within your assigned locations.
- Utilize budgetary parameters and portfolio strategies to effectively prioritize initiatives and expenditures.
- Address ad hoc business requests swiftly, even when they are complex or urgent.
- Engage actively with the Housing and Care operations teams to guarantee seamless service delivery.
Impact and Collaboration:
Your work will significantly influence the delivery of repairs, investment activities, and service inspections across individual locations. You will collaborate closely with quantity surveying teams, contractors, and colleagues to ensure excellence in property management.
Primary Tasks:
- Manage all property-related activities for your designated portfolio.
- Conduct regular inspections, including Stock Condition surveys, MOT surveys, and Asbestos reinspections.
- Ensure that repairs and planned works are both necessary and cost-efficient.
- Analyze property performance to inform future investment and repair strategies.
Key Initiatives:
- Foster collaborative relationships with contractors and Housing/Care operations colleagues to offer high-quality property services.
- Implement robust project and delivery management practices to maintain budget adherence in investment programs.
- Deliver practical, solution-oriented building pathology services.
- Perform quarterly site visits across all properties, ensuring that operational teams are involved and actions are followed through.
