Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated nursing professional to provide and coordinate care in a non-acute ambulatory, medical office, or urgent care environment.

• Deliver direct nursing care in alignment with established protocols, policies, and state regulatory practices, ensuring adherence to the Board of Nursing standards.

• Create tailored care plans addressing the physical, emotional, cultural, spiritual, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients.

• Utilize specialized knowledge and competencies in ambulatory care to promote wellness, restore health, and address health-related concerns effectively.

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans based on contemporary ambulatory care nursing knowledge and best practices.

• Administer medications and treatments as per approved nursing protocols, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of patient care, including assessments, education, medication administration, and safety protocols.

• Delegate responsibilities among healthcare team members based on patient needs and individual capabilities.

• Strictly follow infection control and safety procedures to safeguard patient wellbeing.

• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding any patient condition updates or concerns.

• Guide and educate patients and their families on effective post-visit self-care practices.

• Integrate patient and family education into all aspects of care delivery, empowering informed health choices.

• Create a compassionate, therapeutic environment for patients and their families throughout their care journey.

• Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to team success.

Management Responsibilities

• This role does not involve management duties and will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• Experience: No prior experience necessary.

Alternative Qualifications

• In place of an ADN, an RN diploma or certificate with an active RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or an RN license in the applicable state will be accepted.

Certifications and Licenses

• Must hold a current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or have an active RN license for the state of employment.
