Position Overview
Your role involves providing and coordinating nursing care in a non-acute ambulatory, medical office, or urgent care environment.

Deliver direct nursing care following established policies, protocols, and regulatory guidelines as per the Board of Nursing in the respective state.
Offer personalized patient care grounded in an individualized care plan addressing physical, emotional, cultural, spiritual, psychosocial, and educational needs.
Leverage specialized knowledge and skills essential to ambulatory care nursing to promote wellness, facilitate recovery, and tackle health-related challenges.
Evaluate patients’ needs and integrate current ambulatory care nursing knowledge and evidence-based practices to create tailored plans for each patient.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to established nursing protocols.
Manage and document patient care proficiently, including patient assessments, education, medication delivery, treatment, and patient safety.
Delegate tasks to healthcare team members based on patient needs and the individual capabilities of team members.
Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety standards.
Effectively communicate relevant information regarding patient conditions or concerns to other healthcare professionals.
Educate patients and families on post-visit self-care tasks to ensure proper care post-appointment.
Incorporate patient and family education throughout the care process to empower informed health-related decisions.
Create a supportive and compassionate environment to enhance the care experience for patients and their families.
Complete additional duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role does not include management responsibilities and reports to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Qualifications
Education: Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required; a BSN is preferred.
Experience: No prior experience is necessary.
Alternative Qualifications
In lieu of an Associate’s degree in Nursing, an RN diploma or certificate with a current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or a license to practice as an RN in the applicable state will be accepted.
Required Licenses and Certifications
Must possess a current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or be licensed to practice as an RN in the state of employment.
