Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Engagement & Strategy: Immerse yourself in Tyk’s values, engaging in meaningful dialogue with clients through meetings and workshops to understand their requirements. Lead the engineering projects throughout the sales cycle while maintaining clear communication with project teams. Educate clients on API concepts and guide them on the effective implementation of Tyk solutions.

• Technical Expertise & Solution Design: Partner with the sales team to discern client needs and challenges, crafting customized technical solutions that align with their strategic objectives. Develop in-depth technical proposals including architectural diagrams, proof of concepts (POCs), and implementation plans, ensuring robust documentation of all architectural designs.

• Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work alongside product management, engineering, and delivery groups to ensure your proposed solutions are not just feasible but also scalable. Provide insights from the field to influence product development and collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to fine-tune marketing materials aligning with Tyk’s value proposition.

• RFP/RFI Response: Take the lead in crafting technical responses to RFPs and RFIs, ensuring that submissions are accurate, timely, and persuasive. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather the necessary data for proposals.

• Technical Documentation: Keep our technical documentation, including solution briefs and case studies, organized, current, and up to company standards, providing a valuable resource for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Continuous Learning: Stay at the forefront of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor innovations. Commit to your professional growth through ongoing learning, certifications, and active participation in tech communities.

Qualifications:

We are looking for an experienced Architect with a proven background in a Pre-Sales capacity, such as a Sales Engineer, Sales Architect, or Solution Consultant. The ideal candidate will possess:

• A robust track record of delivering technical solutions for both enterprise and startup environments.
• Familiarity with open-source technologies and a strong record of collaborating with sales, marketing, and product teams.
• Extensive technical knowledge encompassing various technologies, including:
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Golang, Java, or Python.
  • Understanding of application development processes, concepts, and frameworks.
  • Experience designing solutions for public and private cloud environments.
  • Skills in Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, API Management, event broker technologies, and architecture best practices.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Hubspot).
