Your Role

Join our dynamic Cloud Platform team, where you’ll empower developers to create and deploy applications with speed, security, and efficiency. As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer, you will play a vital role in Prolific’s technical ecosystem, ensuring our infrastructure is scalable, dependable, and poised for expansion. You’ll drive automation initiatives to simplify operations, advocate for best practices, and be the go-to technical authority for teams across Prolific.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

• Demonstrable expertise in operating and fine-tuning large-scale Kubernetes clusters
• Proficient in Kubernetes tools such as Helm and kustomize
• Solid background in GitOps practices, with experience in tools like ArgoCD
• Deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform services and architecture
• Expertise in GKE and Kubernetes, focusing on the upkeep and enhancement of production clusters
• Strong background in Terraform for cloud infrastructure provisioning and automation
• Programming proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript
• Experience in crafting developer-centric documentation and self-service solutions to empower teams
• Customer-centric mindset, dedicated to meeting the needs of our internal teams (the Prolificos)

Your Responsibilities

• Oversee and enhance our Kubernetes clusters in GKE utilizing Terraform
• Ensure adherence to SOC2, ISO-27001, and Cyber Essentials standards across our cloud setups
• Design and deploy streamlined automation pathways that facilitate developer self-service while minimizing operational challenges
• Develop and sustain infrastructure solutions that enable development teams to build and deploy in a secure, simple, and efficient manner
• Act as the technical go-to resource for GCP and Kubernetes inquiries, providing valuable insights to fellow Prolificos

It’s a Plus If You Have

• Experience in a multi-cloud environment, particularly with AWS and CDK, is highly desirable
• Background in establishing and maintaining cloud compliance standards (SOC2, ISO-27001)
• Familiarity with observability tools, such as Datadog
• Experience in implementing security best practices within cloud infrastructure
