    Job Description

At Veeva Systems, we are driven by our mission to revolutionize the life sciences industry, enabling companies to expedite the delivery of therapies to patients. As one of the fastest-growing SaaS organizations in history, we surpassed $2B in revenue last fiscal year and continue to have significant growth potential ahead.

Our core values—Do the Right Thing, Customer Success, Employee Success, and Speed—define who we are. We made history in 2021 by becoming a public benefit corporation (PBC), which holds us accountable to balance the interests of our customers, employees, society, and investors.

As a Work Anywhere company, we offer you the flexibility to choose your ideal work environment, whether from home or in the office, to help you thrive.

Join us in our commitment to transforming the life sciences landscape, making a positive impact on our customers, employees, and communities.

In this role, you will become a key player in the Veeva Business Consulting group, focusing on Research and Development (R&D), which is a strategic priority for us. We partner with significant stakeholders across the pharmaceutical industry—serving as the trusted partner for 85% of the top 20 pharmaceutical companies—to help them recognize and realize the strategic value of Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Strategy, Quality and Safety (including Pharmacovigilance).

As a Senior Consultant, your responsibility will be to manage challenging and innovative consulting projects for our esteemed clients in the R&D sector. You will lead teams and meticulously plan, organize, and track every detail of project delivery. This position involves tackling stimulating challenges, crafting insightful solutions, and fostering strong partnerships with stakeholders to unlock tangible value amidst the evolving landscape of digital and R&D innovation.

This is a remote position available across Europe, with flexibility as long as candidates are near an airport to meet travel requirements. Applicants must have legal authorization to work within the EU (including Switzerland) or the UK depending on the location.

    What You’ll Be Doing:

    • Lead R&D projects as the driving force of a Veeva R&D Consulting team, overseeing the planning, organization, and management of all project delivery aspects, including scope, quality, resources, risks, and timelines.
    • Take charge of the end-to-end design, execution, and delivery of project deliverables that align with overall objectives.
    • Identify and proactively address challenges faced by clients.
    • Establish yourself as a trusted partner for clients concerning strategic and operational queries, building relationships through face-to-face interactions, workshops, and communications.
    • Manage the priorities and work of team members assigned to your projects.
    • Instruct and mentor Consultants and Associates to enhance their skills and professional growth.
    • Deliver exceptional insights related to industry trends, market dynamics, and functional knowledge, particularly around R&D challenges.
    • Proactively pursue business development opportunities and proposals associated with the R&D value chain.
    • Create and share thought leadership content that positions Veeva R&D Consulting as a leader in the market for Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Strategy, Quality, and Safety.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree accompanied by a strong academic record.
    • A minimum of 4 years of consulting experience in a reputable strategic or management consulting organization.
    • Experience in the Life Sciences sector.
    • A solid understanding and keen interest in pharmaceutical R&D, coupled with experience delivering consulting projects in one or more areas: Regulatory, Clinical, Quality, or Safety.
    • Comprehensive grasp of the R&D value chain and preferably an understanding of how Veeva’s platforms and solutions can support R&D consulting offerings.
    • Familiarity with the business capabilities and drivers of digital technology in health and life sciences.
    • Strong analytical abilities, capable of assessing problems both quantitatively and qualitatively and effectively communicating solutions.
    • A proactive problem-solving attitude, adept at anticipating issues and devising solutions.
    • Demonstrated leadership experience while managing complex deliverables.
    • Highly efficient project management expertise.
    • Ability to engage effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, establishing credibility quickly.
    • Strong personal influence and ability to persuade a diverse range of stakeholders.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and fluency in the local office language.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Post-graduate qualifications such as a Ph.D., MD, and/or MBA.
    • A network within the top 20 Life Sciences companies.
    • Experience with digital technologies, including platforms, channels, analytics tools, apps, and emerging technologies.
    • Familiarity with SaaS solutions.
    • Fluency in additional European languages.

    What We Offer:

    • Competitive salary and benefits package.
    • Opportunity for rapid career advancement and personal growth.
    • Comprehensive health and wellness programs.
