    As a member of the BMC product management team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of our product line. You will identify business opportunities, assess and prioritize customer requirements, collaborate with development teams, establish pricing strategies, and ensure successful commercial results throughout the entire product lifecycle.

    In your capacity as the Senior Director of Product Management within our Intelligent Z Optimization and Transformation business unit, you will lead the strategy and execution plan for a dedicated team of Product Managers. Your responsibilities will include articulating business strategy and guiding your team in crafting high-impact product roadmaps. This role encompasses cross-portfolio leadership in advancing our AI strategy and facilitating an integrated approach across the BMC Automated Mainframe Intelligence (AMI) product suite, while also overseeing substantial multi-million dollar business lines within key areas of the BMC mainframe portfolio. Collaboration with marketing teams, development, quality assurance, sales, presales, and customer support will be crucial to ensure solutions are delivered on target, sales teams are prepared, and customer satisfaction is guaranteed.

    The ideal candidate will possess experience in utilizing Design Thinking and client co-creation methodologies to develop outcome-driven product plans. A track record of transforming Product Management practices as an influential change agent will be highly advantageous.

    To thrive in this role, you will need substantial enterprise/B2B software product experience, excellent communication skills, a solid technical background, and a willingness to travel up to 25%. Familiarity with the mainframe sector in a business context is a critical qualification we seek.

    To excel in this position, you will ideally possess the following skills and experience:

    Expertise in Product Management

    • A minimum of 7 years in software product management leadership within the enterprise/B2B space.
    • Documented experience in a mainframe business setting.
    • Insight into one or more areas including Cloud Object Storage, Secure Vault technologies, IT Operations, and Generative AI / Machine Learning.
    • A fervent passion for engaging with customers and addressing their challenges.
    • Proven experience with client co-creation and Design Thinking methodologies to enhance product planning and execution focused on outcomes.
    • Familiarity with complex sales processes and collaboration with sales and presales teams.
    • Experience coordinating with marketing personnel to guarantee clear and consistent messaging.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Confidence in presenting to diverse audiences, both internally and externally.
    • Adeptness in distilling intricate business and technical requirements into clear, actionable, prioritized goals.

    • The drive, energy, and insight required to instigate meaningful change across various domains.
    • The capability to fluidly navigate both high-level strategic visions and detailed technical/business aspects.

    The annual base salary range for this role is indicative of the BMC salary scale, with actual salaries being influenced by a variety of factors such as expertise, experience, and qualifications.

    In addition to base salary, BMC offers a competitive compensation package that may include variable incentives and country-specific benefits.

    The estimated salary range for this position typically falls between £119,175 and £198,625.
