    Job Description

Join us in shaping the future of web3.

At Auditless, we are a pioneering studio in the web3 space, dedicated to protocol strategy, design, and development. Our mission revolves around enhancing the performance of crypto protocols through strategic guidance and innovative development.

More than just a development shop.

We integrate approaches from strategy consulting, product management, and high-assurance software engineering to ensure that each feature we develop delivers significant business impact. We take pride in partnering with some of the most sophisticated and influential companies in the cryptocurrency sector.

    Driving ambitious partnerships.

We embrace the challenge of working on bold ideas from their inception. Our passion lies in creating products that aspire to revolutionize user experiences across expansive markets while actively taking on research-intensive problems.

    We do what we love.

As an independently owned studio, Auditless prioritizes impactful projects that push our creative boundaries. We selectively engage in work that excites us and fosters personal growth.

    Quick Overview:

This position is perfect for those eager to produce outstanding work in the crypto landscape, diving deep into fresh topics weekly. One day, you might focus on gas optimization, while the next, you’ll explore how modular architecture can unlock novel use cases for protocols. Here, you will have the chance to make a substantial impact by helping to develop a pioneering protocol that addresses genuine use cases.

The ideal candidate recognizes that product success extends beyond coding and is enthusiastic about collaborating with other skilled professionals, occasionally adopting a product-oriented perspective on protocol design.

This opportunity is specific to Aera.

Aera is a trust-minimized treasury management protocol tailored for crypto institutions and incubated by Gauntlet, a leader in economic simulation. Auditless is spearheading protocol development for Aera in close partnership with the Gauntlet team, focusing on the overall Aera product vision.

If you are driven to engage in a complex, high-profile project with multifaceted research themes and are keen to participate in designing and constructing a ground-breaking protocol, this role is tailor-made for you.

    Key Responsibilities:

    – Develop, review, and ensure the quality of high-assurance smart contract code, tests, and other essential deliverables utilizing industry best practices.

    – Engage in protocol design and architecture research while effectively collaborating with client team members. Create impactful communications that facilitate decision-making and identify emerging market and technology opportunities.

    – Perform internal security audits focused on robust processes, continuous learning, and ownership.

    – Assist in building and managing a growing team of engineers.

    – Contribute to and enhance our internal methodologies, coding standards, review processes, and standard operating procedures.

    – Produce clear and compelling protocol documentation, both in-code and in dedicated spaces.

    – Occasionally write blog posts or other content marketing pieces related to your work.

    – Collaborate with clients and users on protocol usage while assessing other protocols and infrastructure for potential integration.

    – This client-facing role involves close collaboration with leading crypto institutions and talents on a high-impact project, which may include occasional travel for joint off-site meetings.

    Necessary Qualifications:

    – Minimum of 5 years of professional engineering experience.

    – At least 2 years of expertise in Solidity smart contract development.

    – A minimum of 1 year of experience in protocol design and architecture.

    – Comfort in learning about and contributing to complex DeFi protocols, including understanding MEV, trading, incentives, and mechanism design.

    – Ability to efficiently operate in a remote work environment.

    – Strong communication skills to effectively connect and collaborate with clients, partners, and other stakeholders.

    – Enthusiasm for working in an early-stage environment with significant uncertainty, evolving requirements, and diverse responsibilities.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    – Familiarity with Foundry and invariant testing methodologies.

    – Experience conducting security reviews.

    – Background in managing teams of engineers.

    – Exposure to highly collaborative or client-facing environments.

    – Ability to create public-facing content and documentation.

    – Experience in quantitative mathematics or Python data science.
