Job Description
Jefferson Wells is excited to collaborate with our esteemed client in Kane County to find a skilled Sr Tax Accountant specializing in S-Corp and Partnership taxation.
Location: Fully Remote
Employment Type: Contract to Hire or Interim Consulting
Compensation: $40 – $60/hour, based on experience
Start Date: Expected around June 16
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the complete compliance process for Federal and State income, sales, and property taxes for multiple private U.S. entities, from conducting research to preparing returns and accounting, while providing expert internal and external tax advice.
Ensure the accurate and timely filing of federal, state, and local income tax returns, along with other necessary business filings for the company and its affiliates.
Deliver tax-related advice and services to the company, its principals, affiliates, and joint-venture partners as needed.
Qualifications
Education: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
Proficient in SAP, Corptax, and various research tools.
5-10 years of relevant experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of S-Corporation and Partnership tax regulations.
Familiarity with tax codes, compliance requirements, and procedures for S Corporations and Partnerships.
Understanding of U.S. federal, state, and local tax reporting standards.
