    Important: REMOTE POSITION – CANDIDATES MUST RESIDE IN SAN ANTONIO, TX TO SERVE OUR CLIENT BASE

    In this dynamic role, you’ll engage in proactive efforts within a designated territory, focusing on two key objectives: deepening relationships with existing accounts and identifying new business opportunities. This fast-paced sales position requires a strategic approach as you utilize a prioritized action list to engage potential clients and navigate them through the sales funnel. Collaborating closely with Account Management, you’ll create tailored strategies for account acquisition while working synergistically with Sales Ops to target new sites. Expect to travel frequently to meet clients in person and harness remote communication methods (phone/internet) to foster and grow your sales relationships within your designated regions.

    Your Contributions:

    • Actively achieve daily activity metrics through a proactive sales approach, focusing on outbound calls, engagement time, and successful opportunity creation.
    • Team up with Account Management to strategize site acquisition within current accounts.
    • Collaborate with GPO FSDs to navigate contractual complexities while refining strategies for acquiring new logos within the Complex segment.
    • Engage in face-to-face client meetings and explore new sites to nurture and expand sales relationships.
    • Be prepared for up to 50% travel throughout the San Antonio, TX area.
    • Develop knowledge of contract and cooperative program availability in your designated regions.
    • Influence pricing decisions on-the-spot, ensuring a top-notch customer experience.
    • Effectively manage your sales pipeline to secure opportunities and close sales.
    • Utilize advanced selling techniques to uncover client needs, articulately present Staples’ value propositions, and successfully address objections to seal the deal.
    • Employ designated sales tools to prioritize activities and document customer interactions (e.g., Priority List, Tenfold, SFDC).
    • Collaborate effectively with customer support teams and category specialists to move deals toward successful closure.
    • Drive compliance and positive momentum for newly acquired accounts and programs.
    • Possess a deep understanding of the industry buying process to assist clients in product selection and standardization.
    • Experience in Education and State & Local segments is an asset but not mandatory.
    • Generate annual revenue exceeding $750K.
    • Create long-lasting customer relationships that encourage continued purchases from Staples.
    • Execute strategies as directed by the Senior Leadership Team.
    • Incorporate feedback from prospects to refine your sales approach.
    • Curate new customer offerings and pricing strategies.
    • Work closely with internal teams, including Category Specialists and Support groups.
    • Maintain daily, professional communication with prospects both in person and virtually.

    Qualifications:

    Essential Qualifications:

    • 3-5 years of demonstrated success in sales or as a Staples B2B Sales Associate.
    • Intermediate proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
