Our Tax Strategies practice is tailored to support a diverse clientele, ranging from emerging small businesses to large multinational corporations and private individuals. This position is essential as we respond to the evolving opportunities within our Tax practice.

Responsibilities

As a Tax Manager, you will be entrusted with a variety of diverse tax assignments, collaborating closely with our skilled CPAs. This role provides you with the chance to build relationships with business owners across different industries while learning from our firm’s leaders.

• Foster and maintain strong working relationships with clients and team members across our Audit & Accounting, Tax Strategies, Human Capital Resources, and Technology Solutions groups.
• Oversee multiple concurrent tax projects with prominent local companies, addressing significant accounting issues, preparing client deliverables, managing team schedules, mentoring staff, and driving the implementation of innovative processes that keep us at the forefront of our market.
• Contribute to the growth of our client base by playing a pivotal role in specialized industry groups, expanding your personal network, and identifying new business prospects.
• Conduct thorough, timely, and accurate reviews of clients’ tax returns, as well as engage in planning and research activities.
• Review tax provisions during audit and review engagements.
• Make informed decisions on most tax-related scenarios while handling the complex ones.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting is required, along with a CPA certification. A strong grasp of the Internal Revenue Code & Regulations and notable experience with increasingly complex tax returns and research is essential. Experience representing clients before tax authorities is a plus.
• A firm commitment to excellence, client service, and professional advancement.
• Proficiency in managing multiple tax projects and clients simultaneously.
• Ability to mentor staff and contribute to team-building, including involvement in firm-wide training initiatives.
• A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine willingness to learn.
• A team-oriented mindset and a high level of motivation to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with computer software for tax preparation, research, and planning.
• A quick comprehension of the “big picture,” enabling you to identify key issues and effectively prioritize tasks from numerous competing demands.
