Job Description

Join a dynamic team at a premier provider of professional training and services seeking a knowledgeable Accounting subject matter expert. If you have hands-on experience in practice and possess a professional qualification such as ACA or ACCA (or an equivalent), this opportunity is tailored for you. Your robust technical expertise in audit, accounts, and compliance regulations will be pivotal in helping others navigate their professional journeys. You excel at understanding regulatory changes and are adept at translating that knowledge into engaging, practical guidance, both in written form and during presentations.

With a vibrant portfolio that includes over 100 training events designed specifically for accountants in practice, and partnerships with more than 800 firms nationwide, you will leverage your engaging presentation skills and experience in training or coaching to empower accountants in their ongoing professional development.

Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Crafting and delivering impactful technical accounting and audit presentations that resonate with your audience.
  • Developing high-quality training materials that are not only technically sound and current but also practical and tailored to meet customer needs.
  • Providing your expertise by responding to queries on the A&A Technical Queries helpline, contributing to technical content for various purposes, and conducting independent, thorough file reviews to assess compliance with regulatory standards within accountancy practices.

To thrive in this role, you will need the following qualifications and attributes:

  • In-depth technical knowledge of audit and accounts.
  • The capability for extensive research to stay current with the evolving regulations.
  • A strong commercial understanding of the UK accounting sector.
  • Professional qualification to ACA standard or equivalent, supported by relevant post-qualification experience in a Big 4 or accountancy practice.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, with advanced proficiency in English to handle complex writing tasks.
  • A self-motivated attitude with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • A collaborative spirit, always ready to assist and support your colleagues.
  • Confidence and competence as a presenter.

This position offers flexibility through home-based/remote working, with occasional travel required as needed. Enjoy a competitive salary ranging from £65,000 to £75,000, along with a car allowance, 25 days of vacation, pension contributions, life assurance, and income protection benefits.
