About Us:
At SolutionHealth, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional primary and specialty care tailored to the evolving needs of the communities we serve. Our IT department thrives on diversity, strategy, and innovation, centering around patients, communities, clinicians, outcomes, safety, and quality. As we move forward, it’s an exciting time at SolutionHealth as we enhance our technology platforms to better serve our constituents.
Position Overview:
- We are on the lookout for an Epic Application Analyst who will specialize in the applications of Cadence/Prelude.
We offer Epic Application Analyst roles across levels 1 to 4. The exact level offered to the selected candidate will be influenced by factors such as their relevant experience, Epic training status, portfolio, and assessment of cultural readiness.
- The Epic Applications Analyst is responsible for the implementation, development, and maintenance of the Epic system alongside related third-party applications. As analysts progress from entry-level (I) to expert (IV), they will take on more responsibilities and showcase greater independence. They will provide on-call support, engage with clients, and ensure adherence to software lifecycle standards. More experienced analysts will deepen their understanding of the Epic platform, mentor junior team members, and spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety and care quality. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to forge collaborative relationships with customers and colleagues at all levels, are essential for success in this role.
- This position typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule, aligning with Eastern Time business hours, with some flexibility. Participation in an on-call rotation to address application needs is required, and there may be occasional demands to work beyond standard hours for special events or staff requirements. The role is primarily remote, requiring a suitable virtual home office setup. Standard office equipment, such as computers and mobile devices, will be used frequently. Some travel may be necessary to meet business needs for Go-Lives or training, which could involve air, vehicle, or train transportation.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- System Build and Configuration: Conduct independent research and configure systems to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and prioritize patient safety.
- Heuristic Design: Advocate for effective utilization and advantages of healthcare systems, leveraging clinical and business knowledge to inform workflows and support end users. Exhibit a robust understanding of heuristics in software design, incorporating insightful questions and design elements into daily tasks.
- Adapt and Innovate: Embrace change proactively, strive for process enhancements, and showcase inventive thinking.
- Ensure Accountability: Own your actions, rectify mistakes promptly, and uphold service excellence standards, demonstrating a commitment to governance and performance management processes.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Foster partnerships with stakeholders, end users, and colleagues to guarantee effective communication and support.
- Information Technology: Exhibit a fundamental understanding of the systems development life cycle, applying suitable methods for developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining systems.
- Project Management: Execute projects effectively by understanding system development life cycles and adhering to project management principles.
- Documentation and Testing: Develop and uphold comprehensive documentation, create test scripts, and ensure builds align with departmental standards while receiving end-user approval.
Your Profile:
- A 4-year Bachelor’s Degree or a blend of relevant education and experience may be considered in place of a degree.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and training, experience as an analyst in deploying and testing vendor software applications, or healthcare operational background in the application area preferred, depending on the analyst level.
- Certification and depth of Epic experience required will vary based on analyst level. All analysts must possess prior Epic experience (either as an end user or analyst). Epic Application Analysts at levels 2-4 must maintain current Epic training status (including certification or proficiency) in the primary application, along with additional qualifications in application maintenance and development based on level. Training outcomes must meet departmental expectations regarding completion timelines and performance.
- Ideal applicants will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities with expertise in system analysis, project management, and business process reengineering related to information systems in a healthcare context. An active vendor training status is mandatory.
- Able to thrive under pressure while managing competing priorities and dynamic situations.
- Frequent and effective communication via computer, whether verbal, written, or through virtual meetings (including video), is essential.

- Competitive salary package.
- Tuition reimbursement opportunities.
- 403(b) Retirement Savings Plan.
And much more awaits you!
