Overview:
We are seeking talented engineers with robust expertise in the upstream (oil & gas, onshore/offshore) and downstream (refining, petrochemicals, chemicals) sectors to become part of our dynamic global risk engineering team.
In this role, you will have the chance to engage with a diverse portfolio of energy and power assets, applying your technical skills to assist clients in effectively managing industrial risks, enhancing safety protocols, and achieving optimal insurance outcomes.
Key Duties:
Engage collaboratively with clients and internal stakeholders to accurately portray asset risk profiles for insurance evaluation
Conduct around 12-14 technical risk surveys annually for oil & gas and 15-20 for power generation
Prepare comprehensive underwriting reports to facilitate the placement of insurance programs
Advise on process safety enhancements and the adoption of industry best practices
Utilize specialized software to calculate Estimated Maximum Loss (EML) values
Offer technical insights for insurance tenders and renewal negotiations
Create thought-leadership materials on critical process safety and engineering subjects
Become part of a team of over 60 engineers dedicated to enhancing risk profiles in the energy and power sectors
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Significant experience within the energy or power generation industries
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, especially in presentations to senior management
Highly organized with a proven track record of managing reporting deadlines and global survey timelines
In-depth knowledge in fields such as process engineering, operations, asset integrity, process safety management, and emergency response
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
Experience with leading operators or manufacturers in the sector
Background in senior leadership or technical management roles
Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification
Chartered status or eligibility with relevant institutions (IChemE, IET, IMechE, etc.)
Multilingual communication capabilities
Experience in project management and commissioning processes
