    SixMap is a Maryland based cybersecurity company using high performance computing to automate cybersecurity. SixMap technology and capabilities significantly reduce the people-hours required to assess, operate, and defend computer networks. SixMap Computational Mapping (CM) supports Automated Network Management and Defense (ANMD) for the Enterprise. Solely from the name of any organization or network name, SixMap provides enterprise discovery, network discovery, and host discovery then generates solution playbooks for Enterprise scale networks operating in IPv4-only, dual-stack, and IPv6-only environments.

    As a key member of the Sales team, we are seeking a highly motivated Sales Engineer (“SE”), that will help expand our sales engineering team on the east coast. We are looking for a self-starter with solid technical skills who will provide technical assistance to the direct sales teams as well as support for our customers. Hands-on experience in driving the proof of concept/evaluation phase from initial engagement to contract close, along with your sales colleague.


    • Partner with the Sales team and understand the customer’s business and technical requirements, and specific use cases.
    • Prepare and deliver a demo of the service and ease of integration in the customer’s environment.
    • Understand customers current security environment and critical applications and execute proof of concept engagements as needed to convert opportunities into technical win.
    • Sales calls – be the main technical resource on sales calls and answer/ educate the customer on issues ranging from features, specifications and functionality to integration.
    • Presenting the entire suite of products from a technical perspective.
    • Communicate customer needs and product enhancements to Product Management and Engineering.
    • Managing trials/POCs with multiple clients.
    • Completing RFPs and security questionnaires and other technical documentation as needed during the sales process.
    • Maintaining relationships with technical staff in information security departments across a variety of industries.

    • Technical working knowledge of networking and/or security platforms in a troubleshooting and/or architecting role
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills with the capability to present technical information and build rapport with a variety of audiences, including line technicians to C-Level Executives.
    • Ability to influence cross functionally and in a matrix environment
    • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced geographically dispersed organization.
    • Experience completing RFPs and customer security questionnaires to enable deal closure.
    • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and listening)
    • Complex problem solving
    • Capable of managing multiple high priority tasks to successful completion.
    • Ability to manage information using
    • Ability to travel a minimum of 20%.
    • Bachelor’s of Arts or Science or the equivalent preferred
    • No less than 3 years as Pre-Sales Engineer/Solutions Architect in the security field.
