The Global Enterprise Executive Research AI Strategy team at Gartner is committed to innovation, offering opportunities for community volunteering and innovation days, ensuring your influence extends beyond Gartner.
As a Gartner Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and advising a portfolio of Gartner research, effectively communicating your findings to clients while assisting sales efforts in both client acquisition and retention. Your research will yield valuable insights, forecasts, and actionable recommendations surrounding artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and data-driven topics, while also encompassing related research areas and practices.
Your domain of expertise will focus on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data technologies, as well as their integration with infrastructure, the broader applications market, and digital business, which includes:
Your key qualifications:
- Expertise in establishing best practices for designing and managing AI technologies, including generative AI, throughout their life cycles.
- Proficiency in selecting, implementing, and managing complex business systems.
- A collaborative approach towards modern executive and business strategies that support AI and ML technologies.
- Ability to support adjacent research area initiatives in the context of AI strategies and general business strategies that enhance AI/ML systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying emerging trends and practices in your AI research area while advocating for best practices.
- Understanding and addressing critical questions faced by Gartner clients through appropriate research methodologies.
- Creating and presenting high-value presentations that highlight your research findings.
- Collaborating with colleagues to conduct innovative research and produce thought-provoking analysis.
- Supporting the Sales team in client acquisition and retention efforts.
- Providing thorough and timely peer reviews of research outputs.
- Leading or participating in research community meetings to foster discussions and collaboration on key research issues.
Essential requirements:
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in AI or ML, with proven expertise in one or more relevant areas.
- Significant industry experience along with a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics.
- In-depth knowledge of technology as well as market, vendor, product, and user strategies in specific domains.
- Experience presenting at events and conferences, leading workshops, and conducting briefings.
- Strong storytelling abilities with clear, concise communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts effectively.
- Robust writing skills.
- Expertise in AI system design and engineering practices, including knowledge of AI integration into business processes.
- Familiarity with digital twins and simulation technologies.
- Solid technical skills in AI system architecture and implementation.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a graduate degree is preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% (as applicable).
