About the Role:

As a Solutions Engineer at Confluent, you will play a pivotal role in guiding customers through the early evaluation stages of the sales journey and facilitating ongoing value realization as they advance in their adoption of our technologies. Collaborating closely with Account Executives, you will serve as a vital technical advisor, uncovering both explicit and implicit business needs to develop tailored technical solutions. Your role may involve sparking inspirational discussions around the potential of our offerings or tackling complex technical challenges with innovative solutions. Ultimately, Solutions Engineers are crucial members of the Customer Success Team, dedicated to nurturing sustained success and promoting the incremental adoption of Confluent’s technology.

What You Will Do:

• Drive the progression of new and innovative Data Streaming use-cases from initial concept to successful Go-Live.

• Lead and execute Technical Proofs of Concept effectively.

• Facilitate Discovery & Whiteboard Sessions to identify and develop new use-cases.

• Provide Thought Leadership through impactful Technical Talks and Workshops.

• Assist customers with hands-on guidance and best practices to enhance the operational maturity of their Confluent deployments.

• Examine Customer Consumption trends to identify and leverage Optimization opportunities.

• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams, advocating for our products throughout the Customer, Partner, and Industry ecosystems.

• Establish robust relationships with key customer stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor and partner.

What You Will Bring:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Solutions Engineering or a related field.

• Solid understanding of Event-Driven architecture, Data Integration, and Processing Techniques, including Database and Data Warehouse technologies.

• Hands-on experience with Cloud Architecture, Migrations, Deployment, and Application Development.

• Familiarity with Automation, GitOps, and Kubernetes.

• Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or SQL.

• Technical certifications in Cloud Development/Architecture, Data Engineering, and Integration.

• A proactive self-starter attitude with a passion for learning and tackling challenging technical problems.

• Exceptional skills in presentation and communication.

• Comfortable presenting to a diverse audience, including developers, enterprise architects, and C-level executives.

The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $136,700 to $160,650, along with a competitive equity package and eligibility for additional commission and/or bonuses.
