    Overview

    Join our dynamic team at GE Vernova, where we prioritize excellence and innovation in the wind energy sector. We are seeking a dedicated professional to fulfill critical responsibilities within our operations, ensuring the optimal performance of GE wind turbine generators.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate closely with site leadership to fulfill contractual commitments in alignment with customer specifications, covering both electrical and mechanical aspects of the wind turbine systems on a day-to-day basis.

    • Execute maintenance, repair, or part replacements to promptly address any malfunctions that may arise.

    • Utilize your problem-solving skills to troubleshoot intricate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical challenges associated with variable pitch and variable speed turbines.

    • Contribute to various areas of site operations as directed by the manager, demonstrating the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

    • Conduct diagnostic electrical analyses to ensure equipment integrity and performance.

    • Thoroughly document all work activities through our computer-based service reporting systems.

    • Engage with GE Vernova’s remote operations center as needed to enhance operational efficiency.

    Qualifications Required:

    • High School Diploma or GED is essential.

    • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Wind Technician is required.

    • At least 3 years of significant troubleshooting experience, including hydraulic and electrical systems, along with proficiency in using basic hydraulic tools and computers.

    Preferred Attributes:

    • Proven experience in leading field teams.

    • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical, Electrical, or Electronics discipline from a recognized institution.

    • A Technical Certification in Wind Energy or in the Electrical/Electronic domain is a strong asset.

    • Adept at interacting with a diverse range of personnel at all organizational levels within and outside the Wind Farm.

    • Previous experience with wind turbines is highly desirable.

    • A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently without direct oversight.

    • Hands-on electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic experience is preferred.

    • Familiarity with hydraulic power tools is necessary.

    • Experience operating heavy equipment for facility maintenance, including knowledge of crane and rigging protocols.

    Compensation: The salary range for this role is between $39.18 and $63.17 per hour.
